LA Car Detail
Mobile car detailing in a driveway: a floor mat scrubbed beside a gray Toyota RAV4 with its doors open

Mobile detailing in Los Angeles

A full detail in your driveway. The price we quote is the price at the door.

We come to your home or office and price the job by the size of your car or from your photos.

What does the car need?

Packages are priced by size. A car in rough shape is priced from photos. Either way, we reply within 1 hour, any day but Sunday, 8 am to 6 pm.

  • Priced by size, or from your photos, before anyone comes.
  • Nothing added at the door without your yes.
  • One detailer does the whole car, start to finish.
  • No plan to sign up for, no card kept on file.

Three details, done at your address

Every package lists the tasks in it, so you can check the car against the list when we finish.

The checklist, in pictures

Every task we name, you can check

Four tasks from the lists above. When the detailer has finished, open a door and look for each one before you pay.

  • Hot-water extractor pulling brown water out of a beige cloth back seat during upholstery cleaning
Seats and carpets shampooed and extractedInterior detail
  • Crumbs and sand brushed out of a car's metal seat rail with a vacuum crevice nozzle
Seat tracks vacuumed and brushed outInterior detail

After a shampoo the seats stay damp for a few hours. If the car will sit in the sun, crack the windows and they dry faster.

How it works

From your first message to the walk-around

Five steps. You have the price at step two, and you pay at step five.

Microfiber towel run along the clean rear door of a black sedan, a palm reflected in the paint
  1. Pick a package by size, or send photos

Tell us the car and what it needs. If it's in rough shape, send 2 to 4 photos, starting with the worst seat and the stain up close.

  2. Get the price in writing

Within 1 hour. For a package, the price for your car's size and the first open days. For photos, the detailer who'll do the job names the package and any extras, with the time each one adds.

  3. Pick a day and a start time

We confirm it by text, and text again the evening before. If the spot won't work, you hear it then, before you pay anything.

  4. One detailer does the whole car

At your address, from the first pass of the vacuum to the last towel. An interior takes 3 to 5 hours, inside and out 6 to 9.

  5. Walk around the car together, then pay

Open the doors and check the list against the car. You pay once you've looked, and no card is needed up front.

2 to 4 photos are enough: the worst seat, the carpet and the stain up close. We reply with a price within 1 hour, any day but Sunday, 8 am to 6 pm.

Problem jobs

Spilled, sick, muddy or smoky? Send us photos.

A menu can't price a car it hasn't seen. Send a few photos of the seats and floors and we price it before anyone comes. Don't clean up first. We price the car as it is.

  • Pet hairWoven into the carpet and every seam. Rubber brushes lift it, then the vacuum and the extractor take it out.

+30 to 60 minHeavy pet hair

  • A sick passengerA carsick child or a long night. The seat and carpet are extracted, then the smell is treated.

    +45 minOdor treatment

  • A spill that set inCoffee, milk, soda or juice. Milk takes longest, because the smell comes back if any stays in the seat foam.

    +20 minPer stained seat

  • SmokeIt sits in the headliner and the seats, and comes back through the vents.

    +45 minOdor treatment

  • Mud and beach sandSand works down into the carpet and the trunk liner. Compressed air and a long vacuum bring it out.

    No extraMost cars

  • Sap and bird droppingsCommon on cars parked under jacarandas and ficus. Best lifted early, before they etch the clear coat.

+45 minClay bar, if it's bonded

How we price a detail

Two things set the price: the size of the car and the package. Anything the car's condition adds goes on its own line, with the time it adds to the visit.

A price within 1 hour

Request a time or send photos. Either way the price comes back in writing within the hour while we're open.

One figure, start to finish

The figure in our reply is the figure you pay when the work is done. It doesn't change between the message and the driveway.

Nothing added at the door

If we find something the price didn't cover, we stop and show you. You decide whether we go ahead.

Extras show their time

Pet hair or a set-in stain adds minutes to the visit, and you see how many before you say yes.

Extras, and the time each addsAdded only when you say yes
  • Heavy pet hair+30 to 60 min
  • A set-in stain, per seat+20 min
  • Smoke or odor treatment+45 min
  • Spots on the headliner+30 min
  • Leather cleaned and conditioned+45 min
  • Engine bay wiped down+45 min
  • Cloudy headlights restored+60 min
  • Clay bar on the paint+45 min

You pay after the walk-around at the end. No card is needed up front, and none is kept on file.

What a detail won't fix

  • An old stain may fade and still show.If your photos show one, we say so with the price.
  • Hair woven deep into carpet can take a second pass.We price that time first, as an extra, so it never turns up at the end.
  • A scratch that catches a fingernail needs paint work.We clean the paint around it. Paint repair is work we don't do.
  • Torn or cracked seats need an upholstery shop.We clean and condition leather and vinyl. Splits stay as they are.

Where will the car be?

A detail needs room to open every door. Tell us where the car will be when you request a time. If the spot won't work, we say so when we confirm, before you pay anything.

  • Your drivewayRoom to open every door
  • Your garage at homeThe door up, and space to walk around the car
  • An apartment or building garageThe space beside the car, and the building's OK
  • On the streetA legal spot for the whole visit, clear of street sweeping

Do I need to be home? Be there at the start, and at the end for the walk-around. In between, go about your day.

What if it rains? If rain is forecast for your day, we move you to the next open day at no charge.

What people ask us first

Something else? Call (310) 857-2520.

Not sure which detail fits?

Send photos and pick "Not sure". The reply names the package that fits the car, with its time.

Send photos for a price

How do you price a car that's in rough shape?

From photos. Send 2 to 4 of the seats and anything you're worried about. Within 1 hour you have the package and any extras, each with its time.

Will the price change when you get here?

No. If the car needs something the photos didn't show, the detailer shows you and asks first. Nothing extra happens without your yes.

How long will the car be out of use?

3 to 5 hours for an interior, about 3 to 4 for an exterior, and 6 to 9 for both. After a shampoo the seats can stay damp for a few hours.

Do I need to clean the car out first?

No. Take out anything you want kept safe, like papers or a child seat you'll need that day. Leave the rest, trash included.

Do I tip?

It's up to you. The price covers the work, and nobody will ask.

Is there a membership or a plan?

No. One detail at a time, as often or as rarely as you like. There is nothing to cancel.

Can you do two cars at the same address?

Yes. Tell us about both cars when you request a time. Two cars usually take most of a day.

Do you do paint correction or ceramic coating?

No. We don't do paint correction or coating. A detail cleans and protects the paint you have.

Send photos tonight. Have your price by 9 am.

Or pick your car's size and request a time. Either way, the price we quote is the price at the door.

We reply within 1 hour, any day but Sunday, 8 am to 6 pm. Photos sent after 6 pm are priced by 9 am the next business day.
