LA Car Detail

Mobile detailing in Los Angeles

Full car detail, inside and out

A full car cleaning, inside and out: both details in one visit, done by one detailer from start to finish.

Packages are priced by size. A car in rough shape is priced from photos. Either way, we reply within 1 hour, any day but Sunday, 8 am to 6 pm.

A dark gray Toyota Tacoma pickup on a driveway beside a white stucco house with all its doors open, paint freshly washed, tires dressed black, and a cart of spray bottles and blue microfiber towels next to it. Pink bougainvillea grows on the wall behind.
  • Priced by size, or from your photos, before anyone comes.
  • Nothing added at the door without your yes.
  • One detailer does the whole car, start to finish.
  • No plan to sign up for, no card kept on file.

Inside and out is our full detail: the interior detail and the exterior detail on the same visit, plus spray wax on the paint and the outside trim dressed. It's the package for a car that hasn't been cleaned in a season, and for a car about to go to a buyer, or back to the dealer when a lease runs out.

Is it time for a full detail?

  • It's been a season or more since the car was last cleaned inside and out
  • The seats need shampoo, and the paint is dull under the grime
  • Pet hair on the inside and brake dust on the wheels
  • A sale or a lease return is coming up

What's in it

Everything in the interior detail:

  • Vacuumed under the seats, in the seams and in the trunk
  • Seat tracks vacuumed and brushed out
  • Seats and carpets shampooed and extracted
  • Floor mats scrubbed and dried
  • Dash, console, door panels and vents wiped
  • Inside of every window cleaned

Everything in the exterior detail:

  • Foam pre-wash, then a two-bucket hand wash
  • Inner rims brushed between the spokes
  • Tires cleaned and dressed
  • Door jambs and hinges wiped
  • Bugs, tar and bird droppings lifted
  • Hand dried with microfiber, outside glass cleaned

And on the full detail only:

  • Spray wax on the paint after drying
  • Outside plastic trim cleaned and dressed

Spray wax protects the paint you have. It isn't a ceramic coating, and we don't do coating or paint correction.

How the day runs

The inside comes first, while the doors are open and the extractor is set up, so the seats have the rest of the visit to dry. Then the outside gets the foam, the two-bucket wash, the wheels and the jambs. After the hand dry comes the spray wax, and the trim is dressed last.

Be there at the start, and at the end for the walk-around. In between, go about your day. Rain in the forecast for your day? You're moved to the next open day at no charge.

The price and the hours

Your car's size and the package set the price, and our reply gives it as one figure with the first open days. The time at your car:

  • 2 rows (sedans, coupes, small SUVs): 6 to 7 hours
  • 3 rows (minivans, large SUVs): 7 to 8 hours
  • Pickups and vans: 7 to 9 hours

The car's condition only adds to it as an extra on its own line, with the time it adds, such as heavy pet hair or a clay bar on bonded sap. A car in rough shape is priced from photos. Don't clean up first. We price the car as it is.

One visit, one detailer

The whole car done on one visit by one detailer, and the list to check it against. You walk around it together, open the doors, and pay once you've looked. No card is needed up front, and none is kept on file.

Full detail questions

How often does a car need one?

Most cars need it once or twice a year, with a keep-it-up detail in between. That's a lighter visit you request whenever you like, with no plan to sign.

Is this the same as paint correction?

No. A full detail cleans and protects the paint you have. Correction polishes marks out of the clear coat, and it's work we don't do.

How long will the car be out of use?

6 to 9 hours, depending on its size. After a shampoo the seats can stay damp for a few hours more.

Will the price change when you get here?

No. If the car needs something the photos didn't show, the detailer shows you and asks first. Nothing extra happens without your yes.

Two ways to get a price

Packages are priced by the size of your car, so you can request a time now and the price comes with our reply. A car in rough shape is priced from photos first.
